Ocali Charter schools are owned and operated by Clear Choice Academies, Inc., a charitable, educational non-profit organization, founded in 2014 in Ocala, Florida. Our schools are tuition-free, public schools of choice, providing parents and students options for middle to high school education.
Our schools are open to all students regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, socio-economic background, or other discriminatory factors. We are your "clear choice" for school choice, where everyone matters!
We model and command excellence in serving our students to the highest standards of academic and character achievement, preparing them for adulthood, career, and college advancement. Students are selected based on parental and student commitment to our mission, vision, and values.
The Mission of Clear Choice Academies is to help students reach their greatest potential for academic, emotional, and personal success by combining individual learning styles, gifts, and talents with comprehensive curriculum and high-achieving standards in a smaller school setting.
Our vision is to create high-achieving schools that inspire and motivate students to become life-long learners, responsible citizens, and positive role models in their communities. By minimizing school size, our institutions provide opportunities for more individualized, hands-on learning opportunities, safer school environments, and diverse thought and participation.
We believe education is not limited to the classroom, and envision partnerships with community leaders, business owners, parents, and other individuals in creating opportunities for exploration, community participation, and experiential learning.
Our vision includes creating a positive, inviting, and inspiring workplace for instructors and those working in education by creating opportunities for professional development, personalized teaching techniques, and competitive compensation. Motivated teachers motivate students.
All Clear Choice Academy schools subscribe to collective and individual behaviors that make up our core values. At Clear Choice Academies, our core values are C.L.E.A.R, an acronym we use, not only in our name, but also to represent each character. Each value is represented by a gem, because we believe our staff, students, and parents are the real "gems" of our organization.
Our five core values are: Community | Leadership | Empowerment | Accountability | Respect
What Makes Us Different?
Our educational model includes the following:
Smaller Open Classroom Setting – this inspires more personalized learning through strategic grouping that enables students to be more focused and engaged in academics.
Flexibility to Meet Student Needs – teachers will be able to identify challenges, implement new ideas, and make small adjustments to meet student needs, which is much more difficult in larger populations. In partnership with the Administration, teachers will lead in instructional programming.
Reduced Organizational Complexity – operating a smaller organization greatly reduces the complexity and overhead needed to function.
Enhanced Community – relationships matter to students. Our micro-school concept will enhance student connections with their peers, family members, teachers, and staff.
Increased Security and Reduced Risk – our non-traditional, open-classroom setting utilizes moveable partitions and fewer hard, immovable walls and doors. This allows for greater flexibility in adjusting to facility and classroom needs, increases constant supervision of staff and students, allows for teacher-to-teacher interaction, and eliminates closed-door classrooms. All staff, volunteers, and board members are thoroughly vetted and must undergo District-required background checks and drug-testing in order to serve on campus. Student safety is of utmost importance to us and the school does participate in the Coach Aaron Feis Guardian Program.
Teacher and Student Empowerment and Ownership – when students and teachers are empowered to create the positive and productive learning environment offered through our concept, not only will they achieve high Standards and goals, but also, they will become more engaged is the overall success by taking ownership of their school. This increases retention and enrollment, reduces dropouts, and provides an overall successful environment for learning and teaching.
